Owen Auch is the founder and lead engineer at Scott Street. Before starting the company, he led engineering teams at two high-growth technology companies where he saw firsthand how much good software matters to a business.
At Orb, a billing infrastructure startup serving companies like Vercel, Replit, Pinecone, and Perplexity, Owen led the Core Billing team. Orb raised $44M in funding and grew revenue nearly 5x in a single year. He built the systems that powered that growth.
At Asana, the publicly traded work management platform, Owen was Tech Lead of a growth product team focused on user onboarding and activation. His team's work shaped the first experience for millions of users.
He started Scott Street because he kept seeing the same pattern: businesses stuck with broken workflows, duct-taped spreadsheets, and manual processes that ate up hours every week. These were all solvable problems. They just needed someone willing to understand the business before writing a line of code.
How We're Built
We're a small team by design. Every project is led by senior engineers and designers who've shipped production software at scale. You work directly with the people building your software, not account managers or junior developers.
We keep it this way on purpose. Small teams move faster, communicate better, and build software that actually fits. We'd rather do fewer projects well than take on everything that comes through the door.
